My abstract paintings from the Recursive Dreams series are an exploration of the infinite and of the relationships between the human mind and reality. Through use of surreal and abstract elements, such as spirals, I try to create a visual experience that invites the viewer to reflect on own perception of reality and time.
The choice to incorporate elements of the style of Dalì, Escher with the fractals of Mandelbrot, is dictated by the will to unite them unique and original vision to create a new and engaging visual experience. Combining these different styles creates a surreal and dreamlike atmosphere, which invites the viewer into look beyond the surface of the image and immerse himself in a imaginary world where the mind can roam freely.
The spirals featured in many of my paintings are symbols of the constant movement and change of life, and they represent humanity’s eternal quest to understand infinity. They invite the viewer to look beyond the image and reflect on one’s relationship with time and the universe.
